INTRODUCTORY COURSE ON MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT TECHNOLOGIES
This is one of the flagship programs of NTCAA Trivandrum which gives an insight into the latest technology in Media and Entertainment Industry. The course is meant for students at High School and Arts and Science colleges. There are two-fold advantages in acquiring a basic knowledge in Media and Entertainment Technology. One is the job potential after specializing in the subject and the second is assistance in academic courses like Medicine, Engineering etc because most of the conventional class room scenario is rapidly replaced with most modern VR, Augmented reality etc. The Session is being handled by Prof. Dr. Sasikumaran. S, M.Sc. (Engg.), PhD (IIT Roorkee) and his team. He is our ex-faculty of NIT Calicut and is currently the CEO of Maya Academy of Advance Cinematics.(MAAC).

Media and Entertainment Industry (M&E) is one of the fastest growing job sectors in the current decade. Trained manpower in M&E Technologies such as Animation, Multimedia & Digital design, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Gaming are in huge demand in India and abroad. Employable sectors of M&E Technologies are Entertainment, Education, Heritage, Tourism, Engineering design (all sectors), Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Real estate Medical & Health care, Scientific Visualization, E-Learning etc., to name a few. The OTT and other digital platforms has given a big push in this sector. Similarly, for those who are interested in self-employment and startups also this is the right choice.
Excellent career opportunities are now available today in M&E. Through this session we would like to give an exposure to the students regarding an emerging job sector. Students of Arts & Science streams , Engineering and Medicine can participate in the session.,
We have conducted the course in several Colleges and institutions in and around Trivandrum including S.N.College, Chemapahanthy, M.G. College , Trivandrum. During 2022 we have conducted same course for Summer School Students by Government State Library, Trivandrum – which was a runaway success and due to its popularity among students an public they requested us to conduct same for Summer School 2023 .
