Welcome to
NITCAA TRIVANDRUM
The erstwhile Regional Engineering College Calicut Alumni Association Trivandrum – known as RECCAA Trivandrum – existed for nearly one and half decades with headquarters at Trivandrum catering to the alumni of REC/NIT in Trivandrum, Kollam and nearby places. The thrust areas were mainly focused on fostering friendship and fellowship among alumni and family and members. REC Calicut along with the seventeen erstwhile RECs were rechristened as NITs during 2003 and granted deemed university status under full Central Government control. But it took some more time for the Alumni Apex body to change its name to NITCAA only in 2018 due to delay in complying with the procedural and legal formalities.
Hence following these changes, RECCAA TRIVANDRUM was also renamed as NITCAA TRIVANDRUM in 2019.

Dr. P.S. Chandramohan
Faculty Electrical Engineering : 1978-1980
I started my career as Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at REC Calicut and worked there for two
years. After moving to Govt. of Kerala service, I worked with four engineering colleges and three
Govt organisations. I can undoubtedly say that I have the strongest bondage with my students and
colleagues at REC Calicut (now NITC).

NITCAA is a sentiment. The alumni of erstwhile Regional Engineering College Calicut are a
powerful and influential community of professionals – harmoniously weaving fraternity and
science based social service, as well as community living and professional service – with elderly
senior citizens on one side and an array of competent fresh graduates on the other end.

I am highly delighted to be a part of NIT Calicut as Faculty and also be as a Honorary Member
of NITCAA, TRIVANDRUM Chapter. It gives me great pleasure to note that NITCAA Trivandrum is
planning to launch its own web site to more wonderfully & professionally Manage and fulfill the various activities being undertaken in accordance with the Vision & Mission of the Association.

The NITCAA Trivandrum was registered under the Provisions of the Travancore – Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act with the Registrar of Societies, Trivandrum and new Memorandum of Association, Rules & Regulations were published during 2019. The registration number of the Association is No. TVM/TC/378/2019 dt. A PAN number was taken for NITCAA Trivandrum. After 2019, all the accounts of the association were audited and submitted to Registrar of Societies and registration renewed periodically and proper bank accounts were maintained. We are also registered with NITCAA Apex body as a Chapter.
